With a background in child care and hospital play therapy, I am a qualified creative arts therapist who provides specialist support for women with chronic illnesses/chronic issues in the field of obstetrics and gynecology. My inspiration for entering this field of work stemmed from my endometriosis experience. I run arts-based workshops for women with endometriosis, ovarian cancer, polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS) and women undergoing IVF. In addition, I run arts for health and wellbeing workshops for other clients and/or client groups. I work as a private practitioner in Hawthorn, Melbourne.

To complement my professional work, I have had the opportunity to – and privelege of – sitting through gynaecological surgery with a specialist laparoscopic surgeon and endometriosis gynaecologist.

I also work voluntarily for – the global forum for news and information about endometriosis – – and, when time permits, I enjoy writing. I have had articles published on, for example,  the website Endometriosis Zone  – – , in “Medical Observer”, a magazine for Australian General Practitioners, and “Finally at 40, Life Begins”, a magazine for the 40-plus woman.

I am a graduate of the Master of Creative Arts Therapy Program, R.M.I.T. University, Melbourne. Since completing my ‘masters’, I have also developed an interest in research. I am also currently exploring research possibilities.

I am a professional member of the Australian Creative Arts Therapies Association (ACATA):

I have close associations with Endometriosis Care Centre of Australia (ECCA), “Get a Life” (Melbourne), IVF Friends (Monash), Ovarian Cancer Australia, Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome Association of Australia (POSAA), and many of Melbourne’s major women’s health organizations and specialist endometriosis gynaecologists.

Email me if you would like to organise an individual session (‘one-off’ session or block bookings of 4 or 8 weeks), book a place in a workshop, or put a private workshop together:
